• Develops, analyzes, and interprets statistical and accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against plan, and other matters relating to the financial soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization.

• Develops economic forecasts and estimates of financial impact for major objectives and policies of the division and prepares reports that analyze the division’s financial position in the areas of income, expenses, earnings, and capital investments, based on past, present, and future operations.
• Provides all operating areas of the division and their staffs with appropriate financial and operating information necessary for effective decision making. Assures information is provided in an accurate, timely, and user-friendly manner.
• Through the departmental staff, maintains the division’s system of accounts and keeps books and records on all company transactions and assets.

• Coordinate and directs the preparation of all periodic reporting of financial results and analyzes and reports variances. Furnishes internal reports, and revises and updates and updates reports to be more useful and efficient in management decision making.

• Responsible for tax planning and compliance with all federal, state(s), countries, and local corporate, payroll, export, and other applicable taxes. Determines depreciation rates to apply to capital items and advises management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax revisions. •

• Assures protection for the assets of the business through internal controls, internal auditing, obtaining appropriate credits and discounts from suppliers, and ensuring proper insurance coverage and timely submission of claims as necessary.

• Keeps the president informed of the division’s performance and provides advise on all financial matters. Develops and presents to the President and owner matters requiring their decision.

• Assures that qualified personnel are selected and that orientation and on-the-job training programs are conducted and effective.

• Recognize and reward work team and individual performance of direct reports including appraising performance and recommending wage adjustments or other non-monetary rewards and recognition. Assure that indirect reports are also recognized and rewarded appropriately by their supervisors.
